Etymology

From the Pinyin romanization of (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Mandarin 燕京 (Yānjīng), composed of 燕 (Yān, the name of one of the powers of the Warring States Period during the Zhou Dynasty) and 京 (jīng, "capital").
