From Ottoman Turkish آغرى (ağrı, pain, ache), from Old Anatolian Turkish [script needed] (aɣrï, pain, sorrow), from earlier *aɣrïɣ, from Proto-Turkic *agrɨ-g (pain, ache), derived from *agrɨ- (to ache). See ağrı- (to ache).
