Etymology[edit]

Inherited from Ottoman Turkish باغشلامق (bağışlamak), from Old Anatolian Turkish باغشلامق (bağışlamak), from Persian بخش (baxš) (modern Turkish bağış via back-formation) + ـلا (-la) (whence -la). Akin to Karakhanid [Term?].
