eigur
Faroese
Pronunciation
Verb
eigur
- you own/have, he/she/it owns/has, 2nd and 3rd person singular present form of eiga (to own, have, give birth)
Usage notes
- nógvur fuglur eigur har - there breed many birds (note the singular form of fuglur. Thus verbally: "much bird owns there", i.e. "many birds have fledlings there" and not "this place owns many birds")
- tú eigur ikki at gera hatta - you must not do that ("you have not to do that")
