From Old Turkic yigren- (to be disgusted, abhor), maybe from Old Turkic yīg (raw, uncooked (meat))[1], from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Turkic *jigren- ( ~ -e-) (to hate, abhor)[2]. See çiğ.
