jive turkey (plural jive turkeys)

  1. (US, idiomatic, derogatory, dated slang) A stupid person; an idiot; a chump.

  2. (US, idiomatic, dated slang) Someone who is jiving, as in dancing. Often applied to people being funny or showy.
