Etymology

From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Middle English kiteling (kitten, kit), from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Old Norse ketlingr (kitten), diminutive of Lua error in Module:parameters at line 331: Parameter "sc" should be a valid script code; the value "Latinx" is not valid. See WT:LOS., equivalent to cat +‎ -ling. Cognate with Norwegian ketling (kitten). More at kitten.
