  2. (computing) Synonym of link-dead (in a frozen state due to sudden disconnection)
    • 1996, Joe Pantuso, The Complete Internet Gamer, page 309:
      To end your use of the client you can use either this command or possibly ctrl-C. This will leave netdead all of your characters with processes still running.
