Etymology
Perhaps from Proto-Celtic *riskillos, from Proto-Indo-European *preysk- (“fresh”);[1] but probably from Late Latin *rescellus, a diminutive of res, "thing", but which have came to mean "head of cattle" in western Iberia Romance languages.
