  1. (transitive, idiomatic) To feel like, to would like, to fancy
    Joskus tekisi mieli juosta karkuun.
    Sometimes I feel like running away.
    Mieli tekisi niin kananugetteja.
    I really feel like [having] some chicken nuggets.

Usage notes

Only the 3rd person singular is used.

If you express the person feeling the urge to do something as a pronoun, this is in the genetive case.

Minun teki yli kaiken mieli paeta

I felt an overwhelming urge to escape
