[edit]xenosphere (plural xenospheres)
- A spheroid culture from a xenograft.
- A particulate remnant of carbon released in the combustion of oil or coal.

- There is good evidence that with burning oil sprays the larger droplets may crack to carbon, sometimes forming xenospheres which pass through the flame front.

- In the region of the spray cone rather large vaporizing or burning oil droplets up to 100 rim, or their residuals like xenospheres, will be found.
