From ชิง (ching, to seize) +‎ สุก (sùk, to ripen) +‎ ก่อน (gɔ̀ɔn, before) +‎ ห่าม (hàam, the period during which a fruit is almost ripe); literally "to seize (an opportunity) to ripen before the time of near ripeness".
