1. (intransitive) awake, wake up

   Αύριο θα ξυπνήσω νωρίς. ― Ávrio tha xypníso norís. ― Tomorrow I shall wake up early.

2. (transitive) awake, wake up

   Θα ξυπνήσεις το μωρό με τις φωνές σου. ― Tha xypníseis to moró me tis fonés sou. ― You'll wake the baby up with your talking.

3. (figuratively) become aware, wake up, awaken

   Ξύπνα επιτέλους, η ζωή αλλάζει! ― Xýpna epitélous, i zoḯ allázei! ― Wake up already; life changes!
