     וַיָּבֵא מֶלֶךְ־אַשּׁוּר מִבָּבֶל וּמִכּוּתָה וּמֵעַוָּא וּמֵחֲמָת וּסְפַרְוַיִם וַיֹּשֶׁב בְּעָרֵי שֹׁמְרוֹן תַּחַת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיִּרְשׁוּ אֶת־שֹׁמְרוֹן וַיֵּשְׁבוּ בְּעָרֶיהָ׃

     vayavé mélekh-'ashúr mibavél umikúta ume'avá umekhamát us'farváyim vayóshev b'aréi shom'rón tákhat b'néi yisra'él vayir'shú 'et-shom'rón vayesh'vú b'aréha.
     wayyāḇē meleḵ-ʾaššūr mibbāḇel ūmikkū́ṯā ūmēʿawwā ūmēḥămāṯ ūsəp̄arwáyim wayyṓšeḇ bəʿārē šōmərōn táḥaṯ bənē yiśrāʾēl wayyīrəšū ʾeṯ-šōmərōn wayyēšəḇū bəʿāréhā.

     And the king of Assyria brought men from Babylon, and from Cuthah, and from Avva, and from Hamath and Sepharvaim, and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel; and they possessed Samaria, and dwelt in the cities thereof.
