Etymology

Borrowed from Arabic آمِن (ʔāmin),[1] with an imāla i-mutation. Compare Classical Persian لیکِنْ (lēkin) and بَلی (balē), from Arabic لٰكِنْ (lākin) and بَلَى (balā).
