Inherited from Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀯𑁄𑀚𑁆𑀛 (vojjha), from Sanskrit वह्य (vahyá),[1] from Proto-Indo-European *wóǵʰ-yo-s (fit to be carried), from *weǵʰ- (to carry, draw).
