ن ح ل (n-ḥ-l)

  1. related to bees, and from their behavior; to collecting from various locations, to gather together commodities especially to give as a dowry
  2. to give freely, literally to dispense all over; to sift, to spread
  3. to make thin, to thin out, to waste away, to become emaciated; from the meaning of sifting flour becoming finer
  4. to plagiarize, to attribute a thing to another, to borrow, to take from various sources; hence also to adopt, to take on, to embrace or make it one's own
