Appears to be of identical derivation as 伊邪那岐 (Izanagi), only replacing the last syllable (ki, male, common element in Japanese male given names) with (mi, female, common element in Japanese female given names). See the 伊邪那岐 entry for further details. The kanji are ateji (当て字).
