The Indo-European root is also the source of Proto-Baltic *daili- (Lithuanian dailiti (“divide”)), Albanian thelë (“portion, piece”), Proto-Slavic *dělъ (Old Church Slavonic дѣлити (děliti), Russian дели́ть (delítʹ)).
