melanian (plural melanians)

  1. (malacology, obsolete) One of a family of freshwater pectinibranchiate mollusks with a turret-shaped shell, the Lua error in Module:parameters at line 848: Parameter "ver" is not used by this template., which is now considered a synonym for the Thiaridae(Please check if this is already defined at target. Replace {{taxlink}} with {{taxfmt}} if already defined. Add nomul=1 if not defined.) but also containing many species since reclassified into other families.
