See WT:LOL and WT:LOL/E., from Sanskrit घर्म (gharmá), from Proto-Indo-Aryan *gʰarmás, from Proto-Indo-Iranian *gʰarmás, from Proto-Indo-European *gʷʰor-mós, from *gʷʰer- (“warm, hot”). Doublet of गरम (garam). Cognate with Konkani घाम (ghām), Bengali ঘাম (gham), Assamese ঘাম (gham) and Sylheti ꠊꠣꠝ (gámo).
