Boy Scout (plural Boy Scouts)

1. A male member of the Scout Movement.
2. (slang) A person, especially a politician, who is idealistic and naive.

Usage notes

• In places where scouting is co-ed, the term "Boy Scout" is generally not used. The term "Scout" is used instead.
