Usage notes[edit]
- The meal can of course consist of any food the drinker craves. However, foodstuffs that are sour and/or high in fat/protein are widely believed to be particularly effective. Therefore, pickled herring (rollmops), which combines both of these features, is the prototypical Katerfrühstück food.
