I don't think the translations are terribly good actually, basically it means "have you ever seen the like". There is a parallel phrase in Swedish which is more or less the same. Alternatively hørt (Bokmål) or høyrt (Nynorsk) are used instead of sett (seen), "have you ever heard the like / of such a thing" DonnanZ (talk) 11:08, 27 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
