There is a proper noun sense, as a common name for Odontoceti, but I fail to see how this is separate from the noun plural. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 22:47, 20 January 2018 (UTC)

- Unsure, the German Wikipedia uses the plurals of all biological taxa above species as the lemma form, so "Zahnwale" is the proper name of a biological suborder. --Androl (talk) 23:02, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
