land
-Land does not mean earth.. Or I'm pretty sure of so. I didn't want to change this in case I'm wrong. But I'm not. Please change this.. Or correct me. Z777 20:37, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
- The Icelandic term land means "earth" in the same sense as "land" or "ground"- it does not mean Earth as in the planet though. --BiT 05:48, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

- Delete. Any multi-word noun containing this is actually an open compound. Evidence for that is that this "adjective" cannot be used predicatively; that is, a construction like *"snail that is land" would not be an even remotely correct replacement for "land snail".
