Bad names, they sound like headword-line templates. Should be {{gml-noun-decl}} and {{gml-adj-decl}}. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 01:18, 24 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Names kept short, again, to save typing. I'd prefer we worry about names when this actually becomes an issue. Korn [kʰũːɘ̃n] (talk) 10:15, 24 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
Support move, though the names should be like {{gml-decl-noun}} or {{gml-infl-noun}}. —CodeCat 12:20, 24 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
I'd like a reasoning. Korn [kʰũːɘ̃n] (talk) 12:42, 24 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
The reasoning is that for most other languages, "xxx-noun" and "xxx-adjective" are headword-line templates. These should be moved to {{gml-decl-noun}} and {{gml-decl-adj}}. —Aɴɢʀ (talk) 13:03, 24 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
I understand the dissimilarity, I do not understand (that's to be taken literally) how from that comes a reason to similarise the names. I cannot see detriment in the dissimilarity, I cannot see benefit in the similarisation. Korn [kʰũːɘ̃n] (talk) 19:48, 24 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
Because eventually we'll want to create actual headword-line templates for Middle Low German, and the names those templates should have are currently occupied. It's also confusing to editors working on multiple languages. There's no reason to let one language have its own template system not for any linguistic reason but on a whim. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 20:06, 24 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
I'm not convinced, and I would say the reasons would have to be provided for why all has to be uniform, not why one must diverge. But just so there's no misunderstanding: I recognise the consensus and I won't stand against it just because it's bothering me personally. I'm sure you have arguments why it should be uniform, I can come up with some myself, even if they don't convince me. (Though until anyone but me actually lifts a finger on GML, it's all a bit moot.) Moved. The names do indeed need to indicate that they are decl templates and not headword-line templates. - -sche (discuss) 00:30, 2 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
