Pronunciation
Audio (file)
Verb
döma (present dömer, preterite dömde, supine dömt, imperative döm)
Usage notes
- Many Swedish verbs end in -mma. This verb is also pronounced with a long m (and a short ö) despite being spelled with only one m. Swedish schoolchildren are taught the "rule" (spelling habit) that there is never a double m in (the spelling of) any word related to dom and döma (though they are all pronounced with a long m).
