Etymology[edit]

‎(good) +‎ tékony ‎(doer). Created during the Hungarian language reform which took place in the 18th–19th centuries. The noun tékony is otherwise unattested. The compound word was patterned after kártékony ‎(harmful), as an antonym.[1]
