From a variant of Lua error in Module:etymology at line 150: Old Occitan (pro) is not set as an ancestor of Catalan (ca) in Module:languages/data/2. The ancestor of Catalan is Old Catalan (roa-oca)., from Late Latin pausāre, present active infinitive of pausō, influenced in meaning by Latin pōnō. Compare French poser, Occitan pausar, Spanish posar, Portuguese pousar, Italian posare.
