Alternative forms[edit]

Etymology[edit]

Possibly from nagel (nail); compare (Rotwelsch) German nageln (to fuck). With the prefix ver-, the semantics of this word would then be comparable to verneuken (to fuck up). A Yiddish origin has also been supposed.

Pronunciation[edit]

  • IPA(key): /vɛrˈnɑ.xə.lə(n)/, /vərˈnɑ.xə.lə(n)/
  • (file)
  • Hyphenation: ver‧na‧che‧len
