  • Despite being masculine in grammatical gender, the noun declines as neuter, i.e. *авти (*avti) does not exist. Pre- and postpositive adjectives are nonetheless declined as masculine, for instance швидки авто (švidki avto, a fast car) rather than *швидке авто (*švidke avto).
