hinkommen (class 4 strong, third-person singular present kommt hin, past tense kam hin, past participle hingekommen, past subjunctive käme hin, auxiliary sein)

  1. to go or travel somewhere and arrive (can refer to the journey, the arrival, or both)
    Als wir hinkamen, hat es geregnet.
    When we went there, it was raining.
  2. (figurative, chiefly with wo) to arrive at a situation (usually implying some negative condition)
    Wo kämen wir hin, wenn jeder täte, was er will!
