Etymology

Assuming it is Arabic, singulative noun from عَرَب (ʕarab), عَرْب (ʕarb), the verbal nouns of عَرَبَ (ʕaraba, to flow sharply) from the root ع ر ب (ʕ r b). The ultimate origin is subject to discussion, see Turkish araba for the possible Turkic origin.[1]
