Etymology[edit]

Assuming it is Arabic, singulative noun from عَرَب(ʿarab), عَرْب(ʿarb), the verbal nouns of عَرَبَ(ʿaraba, to flow sharply) from the root ع ر ب(ʿ r b). The ultimate origin is subject to discussion, see Turkish araba for the possible Turkic origin.[1]
