Particularly: “Not given etymology by STEDT (tâŋ "measure of capacity ( bushel )"). Luce gives Old Chinese 程 (OC *rleŋ, “measurements; limit”) as a cognate, though newer reconstructions of the Old Chinese place this in doubt.[1]”

From Proto-Sino-Tibetan *(d/t)aŋ (“tense, tight”); see Old Chinese 張 (OC *taŋ, *taŋs, “to stretch, string a bow”) for more (STEDT, Hill, 2019).
