Livonian

[edit]

Etymology

[edit]

Ultimately from Latin. See etymology at English December.

Pronunciation

[edit]
  • Hyphenation: det‧sem‧bõr
  • IPA(key): /detsembər/

Noun

[edit]

detsembõr

  1. December

Usage notes

[edit]

Perhaps by error December is one of two months (besides November) that LĒL doesn't list. As can be observed on sites such as livones.net, its name is detsembõr, following the same pattern as septembõr, etc. Declension type of the latter (237) is given in this entry.
