أَحْوَى (ʔaḥwā) (feminine حَوَّاء (ḥawwāʔ), common plural حُوّ (ḥuww))

  1. being the color of decayed vegetation, blackened by being dried up or old, withered utterly; to go dark after once being vibrant with life
  2. being of dark or saturated hue, being almost black by reason of intensity of one's green, gray, ashy, or dust coloration, a blend of black with yellowish undertones

      وَٱلَّذِیۤ أَخۡرَجَ ٱلۡمَرۡعَىٰ ۝ فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَاۤءً أَحۡوَىٰ
