Talk:flood alert

The following information has failed Wiktionary's deletion process.
It should not be re-entered without careful consideration.
"An official warning broadcast when a specific area is likely to experience flooding, normally due to excessive rain." Does it have to be official? Does "normally due to excessive rain" tell us anything? Isn't it any alert that warns of a flood? Compare earthquake alert, tsunami alert. Equinox ◑ 02:11, 5 July 2012 (UTC)
- SOP alert! This is really just an alert having to do with (the danger of) a flood If this isn't covered at alert, we should change that entry so it is. Chuck Entz (talk) 01:23, 5 July 2012 (UTC)
