To pan. (Which sense of pan is not stated; I would imagine it isn't the modern audio/video senses though.) I had a quick look in Google Books and found scannos for "panning", "Dammed", etc. Equinox 17:58, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

cited, plus another sense. I also added a number of miscellaneous citations to the citations page which may indicate other meanings, but there are not enough of any sense to add another definition. Kiwima (talk) 02:36, 13 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Both senses look obsolete. As for the new sense, it looks like it's only used to make fun of how rural Americans talk (or talked- the newest cite is 3/4 of a century ago). Chuck Entz (talk) 03:00, 13 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I note all of the citations for "(obsolete, eye dialect) (with off) To foist; to give under false pretenses." are of "pam off", which looks like eye dialect of palm off, so it seems like it should be moved to pam off and defined as {{eye dialect of|palm off}}...? Obviously, palm should contain a link alerting people to the existence of palm off, and both pam and palm off should likewise contain a link to pam off. - -sche (discuss) 16:26, 17 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

RFV-passed. I took @-sche's suggestion and moved pam off to its own entry. Kiwima (talk) 22:09, 24 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
