Etymology[edit]
Calqued or borrowed from Latin accentus acūtus (“sharp accent”), itself a calque of Ancient Greek προσῳδία ὀξύς (prosōidía oxús, “sharp accent”).

- IPA(key): /ak.sɑ̃(.t‿)ɛ.ɡy/, /ak.sɑ̃(.t‿)e.ɡy/
- The /t/ is predominantly sounded, but not obligatory.
