From Proto-Mon-Khmer *tkɔɔʔ ~ *tkɔɔh (island); cognate with Mon လ္ကံ (kɔˀ), Chong /kɑʔ/ and Mal /kɔʔ/. Compare also Thai เกาะ (gɔ̀).
