Etymology
From French giraffe (now girafe), from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Arabic زَرَافَة (zarāfa, “giraffe”); ultimately from Persian زُرنَاپَا (zurnāpā), a compound of زُرنَا (zurnā, “flute”) and پَا (pā, “leg”).
