Etymology
From Old Galician and Old Galician-Portuguese lança, from Latin lancea, from Lua error in Module:parameters at line 290: Parameter 2 should be a valid language, etymology language or family code; the value "qfa-sub-ibe" is not valid. See WT:LOL, WT:LOL/E and WT:LOF., probably from a Celtic language, perhaps from Proto-Indo-European *pleh₂k- (“strike”).[1]
