Etymology

Borrowed from Japanese 切腹 (seppuku), from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Middle Chinese (t͡set, to cut) +‎ (pjuwk, belly). Compare Cantonese 切腹 (tsit-fuk) and Mandarin 切腹 (qiēfù).
