  • The usage of the word негр ‎(negr) or негритя́нка ‎(negritjánka) in Russian is generally not considered pejorative. Until recently, it was considered a neutral word in Russian, and was not used derogatively.
  • Due to Western influence, for political correctness some people now avoid the term.
