  1. to endure, to suffer, to tolerate, to stand
    На́ша кома́нда те́рпит пораже́ние.
    Náša kománda térpit poražénije.
    Our team is being defeated.
    (literally, “Our team is suffering a defeat.”)
    Терпе́ть не могу́ э́того челове́ка!
    Terpétʹ ne mogú étovo čelovéka!
    I cannot stand that person!
