Cognate with Ugaritic 𐎐𐎌𐎖 (nšq, “to kiss”), Akkadian 𒉈𒅢 (/našāqu/, “to kiss”), Arabic نَسَقَ (nasaqa, “to be set next to each other, to be side by side, to be paired or coordinated, to be arranged symmetrically, to be touching closely or attached”).
