Etymology

Derived as 雅び (miyabi, refinement, elegance, the 連用形 (ren'yōkei, continuative or stem form) of classical verb 雅ぶ (miyabu, to be elegant, to be refined)) + やか (yaka, adjective-forming suffix).[1]
