Was deleted out of progress with the claim: "-ut is not a suffix in Romanian".
However, several sources indicate it is indeed an inflectional suffix (which wt covers as well, e.g. -s, -eth, -ed, -tus):

  • Appendix:Romanian verb conjugation#Conjugation types: "some type 3 verbs have past participles ending in -ut"
  • Ramona Gönczöl-Davies, Romanian: An Essential Grammar, 2008, 2nd ed. 2021
  • Carmen Dobrovie-Sorin, Ion Giurgea (eds.), A Reference Grammar of Romanian. Volume 1: The noun phrase, 2013, p. 665: "The supine suffix is identical to the suffix of the (passive) participle. [...] -ut (ține/ținut 'keep/keeping') [...]" — This comment was unsigned.
I think it would often be desirable to distinguish between derivational and inflectional suffixes, say perhaps "suffixes/endings". At least, I know that if anyone started adding Greenlandic inflectional endings, I would definitely not want them in the same category as the derivationals. If we were to add a new POS, would that lead to problems with any languages?__Gamren (talk) 03:55, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Categorization can be effected through the headword line, possibly by a variant of the {{head}} template, as well as by means of sense {{label}}s attached to the definitions.  --Lambiam 13:57, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
